The Eagle Drumline gives students the opportunity to learn music, marching, and show their School Pride by playing at games, and other school performances. The Eagle Drumline was officially formed Sept, 2007. There are 12 drummers in the Eagle Drumline this school year, and are dedicated and hard working students. We have 4 types of drums, and several other type of percussion instruments. We have the Tenor line, which includes two trio (tri) toms, and two quad toms, The base line consists of one 22 inch bass, one 26 inch bass, and one 14 inch base, the snare line includes 6 snare drums. The Eagle Drumline also has a Yamaha Portable Grand Keyboard, Cymbals, bells, and a few other Italian percussion instruments. We write our own songs and routines for our performances and marching. We perform the Star Spangled Banner during Detroit's home games.

Detroit is a small rural school, with about 500 students District wide. It is hard to have a Drumline in a small district when just about every HS/MS boy and girl play a sport. About half of the Drumline students are involved in Basketball, Track or Volleyball.
