Detroit ISD Enrollment For

Head Start & Pre-Kindergarten

 

 

 

To be eligible for Head Start enrollment during 2009-2010 school year, a child must be three or four years old on or before September 1, 2009, come from a family whose income is at or below subsistence level, and/or have a disability.

 

Head Start offers social services, dental checks, parent involvement, health services, speech, hearing and vision screenings, meals including snack, and special services for the disabled.

 

To be eligible for Kindergarten enrollment during the 2009-2010 school year, a child must be at least five years old on or before September 1, 2009.

 

Transportation will be provided for students that live 2 or more miles from the campus.

Child's birth certificate                   (Head Start, Pre-K, Kindergarten)

 

Child's Immunization record          (Head Start, Pre-K, Kindergarten)

 

Child's Social Security Card           (Head Start, Pre-K, Kindergarten)

 

Verification of Family member's Income

Medicaid, Food Stamps, TANF, 2008

Income Tax Return, Current Check Stub    (Head Start, Pre-K)

 

Documentation of Disability if Applicable    (Head Start, Pre-K)

 

Custody Papers if Applicable                        (Head Start, Pre-K, Kindergarten)
